I am a Senior Research Scientist at the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute (SEI).

I research the complexities of human-machine teaming and leads research to identify tools and resources to support AI / ML engineering teams in developing AI systems - systems that people are willing to be responsible for. She uses UX research and HCI methods to support teams in creating responsible AI (RAI) systems. Systems that provide evidence of their capabilities and integrity, so that users (and those affected by the system) can determine potential risk, and calibrate their trust accordingly.
